“The goal of the exhibit is to increase our Canadians’ awareness about the importance of the global issues and also we’re actually trying to inspire the audience to be more active agents of change,” explained Francois Grenier Tour Manager for the Together exhibit to a CBC reporter during the truck’s stay in Regina.

Museum hosts ‘Welcome to Red Deer’ party (Mark Weber - Red Deer Express)

Together was recently in Red Deer to help welcome newly arrived Canadians. “The purpose of the event is to celebrate the diversity of Red Deer, and to send a special welcome to the people who have recently arrived,” according to Lorna Johnson, executive director of the Red Deer Museum + Art Gallery.  “Initially when we were planning, we thought that we would have it for the Syrian refugees but then we realized there are so many newcomers to the community.”
