Sixth grade French immersion student Qaeeza Ramji won first place in the 33rd annual French language “Concours D’Art Oratoire” provincial finals for her speech about global poverty. Reporter Meghan Wels covered the Together exhibit’s stay at the Wainwright Stampede and interviewed tour manager François Grenier for Star News. Francois tells us a little about the tour; its target audience; and its message about Canadian participation in reducing global poverty.
AKFC’s Director of public affairs Jennifer Pepall was on hand at the Calgary World Partnership Walk to answer questions about the exhibit for Global News: “It’s really showing how the role of Canada and Canadians is transformative in the developmental world and changing lives, …[visitors] can explore some of the ways they can be agents of change and take actions themselves.”
